This Thursday, my life will drastically change, and I will be learning new lessons in patience I'm sure. My sis and her family are moving here from Alabama to start a fresh life and get new jobs and get back on their feet. With this economy in the state it is in, they have tried forever to get a job and make a good life, but the economy wasn't stable enough down there for them. I feel that my b-i-l will find something pretty fast, and they will be on their own soon enough, but till then, I will have 5 more people in this small 2 bedroom house. A 5 yo boy, a 3 yo boy, and a 9 mth old girl, along with all their wordily possessions along with my sis and her husband. It will be cramped and loud and totally different from what I'm used to, and I will have to dig deep down to have the strength to handle all this. I am more than happy to help, and I cant imagine not trying to help them, but it will be new to all of us.
I'm used to having all my things just sitting around where I put them and not having sticky fingers wanting to see what things are and possibly break them... Along with it, I have 4 cats in this house where they are used to "free" reign. I'm sure I will see hair flying, and kids getting scratched, and even possibly bit. The DH is putting in a cat door for the door leading to our basement. But till then, we will have it closed and locked to keep the kids out... I have some pretty steep stairs leading down to a damp (because of the recent rains) basement, and they wont be allowed down there.
Lets hope that this will be a short period of time with us, and them soon getting their own apt or house soon.
